STF Saltoluokta Mountain station

Next to the world heritage site Laponia and the vast national parks of Stora Sjöfallet/ Stora Sjöfallet/ Stuor Muorkke and Sarek, you’ll find the mountain station STF Saltoluokta Fjällstation. Since 1912, people have come here to enjoy life in the mountains and be inspired by the beautiful nature. The mountain station consists of a main building and four guesthouses with a total of just over 100 beds. The timbered main building from 1918 has a timeless charm and soul in the building, furnishings, and open fireplaces. Our KRAV-labeled restaurant serves locally hunted game meat, char, and smoked whitefish from the lake below the station. Of course, we also always have good vegetarian and vegan options. A visit to Saltoluokta Fjällstation gives you the opportunity to experience one of the finest places in the Swedish mountain world. We are located right on the edge of the vast Laponia world heritage area, with Stora Sjöfallets and Sarek national parks nearby. The Laponia area is an incredibly scenic world heritage site, but it’s also known for its strong Sami cultural influence.
